In recent years, profound changes have been experienced by the financial system, being this period characterized by the sophistication of the regulatory and prudential framework, which allowed to stimulate financial innovation, created a greater competitive environment and allowed to inject dynamism, complexity and strength to the banking sector.
In this section, among other contents, useful information will be presented in order to characterize the financial system in Angola, in particular, its historical evolution, the current supervisory model, and a compilation of legal and regulatory relevant changes to the banking institutions since 2007.
